Last weekend I decided I felt like doing some baking. I ended up picking a date nut bread recipe. I had never made this before, but it turned out to be pretty easy to make. I got the recipe from one of my favorite America’s Test Kitchen cookbooks. I have yet to find a bad recipe in there.

Obviously I waited a little too long to take photos – but I guess that also means that it was tasty. To soften the dates they were boiled with a little baking soda. I think it helped to keep the bread nice and moist. I definitely think I will be making these again.
